Goldman Sachs enforces a strict “No Promotion Policy.” We do not permit the use of the Goldman Sachs brand name, logo, or employees for promotion or endorsement of a partner, client, vendor, contractor, or guest’s products or services.
The No Promotion Policy also applies to:
- The use of the Goldman Sachs brand name and/or logo in recruitment web sites and job boards (excluding on-campus recruiting where logo usage is approved by the Recruitment Brand Marketing team)
- Guest speakers requesting use of the Goldman Sachs logo for personal promotion
- Internal selling / promotion on campus, e.g., books, promotional photography, etc.
Why is this policy enforced:
- It allows Goldman Sachs to maintain control over the use of our brand
- It protects our brand strength from dilution
- It protects us from the reputational risk of endorsing products/services that have performance issues
- It ensures we do not put Goldman Sachs in the position of having to evaluate the merits of one client or vendor's products/services over another's
